PROPAGATING JADE PLANTS
THE JADE PLANT
The Jade plant is a common houseplant, the symbolizes fortune, luck, and friendship. It has tough, succulent leaves and requires little care besides water once every, or every other week, making this plant a great houseplant. Its also super easy to propagate-just three simple steps!

1. Picking A Cutting
To start the propagation process, pick piece of the jade plant that is healthy. It should be no shorter and three to five inches long, and have atleast four leaves on a stalk.

Jade plants can also be propagated through the leaf, but I won't lie to you, this will take years to become a small plant. If you aren't keeping track of time, click here to read up on how to propagate succulent leaves.
2. Preparing The Cutting
Now, let the cutting lay out for about two to three days so the spot where the plant was cut off has a chance to callous over.

If the plant doesn't callous over, the plant will absorb too much water which will rot the plant.

Some take longer amounts of time to callous, but some take shower time, as every plant is different. You'll know if they're calloused over because there will be a thin layer or rough scar tissue that will probably be brown.
3. Further Care
Once the leaf has been calloused over, plant the jade plant cutting by simply putting the cutting straight into well-draining succulent soil, so that about an inch to an inch in a half is in the soil.

The jade plant really doesn't need much water, so water it about once every, or every other week. It all depends how much sun its in. More sun, more water; Less sun less water.

Best of luck in propagating jade plants, even
